The Photography Club at DSA was founded by students in 2015 who were interested in creating a place for instruction and exploration in photography. The club meets on Mondays during lunch in Mr. Glassman’s room. Kate Folkins and JD Gonzalez are the co-sponsors.
Activities include regular photography excursions around the Denver area, fundraising mini-shoots, a gallery show at the end of the year, photography workshops, and in-class critique of one another’s work.
Photography Club was commissioned to provide the photos for the Denver Resource for Awareness and Prevention calendar for 2016 and 2017. We’ve had two gallery showings of students work, gone on multiple photography excursions and hosted 2 fundraising mini sessions.
